What a whirlwind nightmare of a day.
By the time Jim dragged himself into Ixis' tower and into Verity's first floor living room, he was utterly and completely exhausted. Despite tracking down a ton of different people facing similar problems, they weren't any closer to getting this figured out and now Jim was facing the prospect of sleeping in Ixis' body and spending yet another day as...not himself.
An unsettling thought.
Still, he's careful as he climbs up onto the couch, making sure to lay on his side so that his tail isn't pinched uncomfortably. Would he wake up with everything back to normal? Doubtful, but he can hope. Despite Jim's usual disdain for sleeping, tonight he cannot wait to fall asleep at even the vaguest prospect of this being over when he wakes up.
At least he doesn't have to deal with Ixis' bullshit when he's sleeping, right? What could possibly go wrong tonight?

Well, that's probably a healthy course of action for Verity to take then. Preserving what's left. Jim should check in with Clint and see if there's anything else he can help with on the whole 'fucking don't let this happen again' plan.
"She's the perfect person for the job then. Ver is gonna make your museum the best damn thing that ever happened to the Nexus, or my name ain't James Tiberius Kirk. Who names their child Tiberius, really? Jim's just glad it's his middle name.

It would be arranged with furniture and things like people were living there, and each room would be a different style or era. Which will technically be pulling from more of his collection than was originally intended, but..." She shoots Schön a quick look--he still likes the idea, she hopes?

I was hoping the museum's early successes might pave the way for expansions, down the line. There is a crypt I should like to reconstruct, that was built to house the very essence of a culture at its peak, when opportunity allows."

Date: 2016-02-03 03:29 am (UTC)Jim doesn't know much about museums or the managing of one, but he likes that Verity is getting so much trust and approval form Schon about this. It'll be good for her to have something positive about her world to focus on for a change. It reminds Jim to take a look for Vulcan artifacts the next time he's in the commercial district. He figures giving Spock a small piece of home might do wonders for him, too.
He's going to finish his food while they discuss museum things and politely listen. They've heard him out all night, and the conversation is a good distraction from remembering 'oh right, this is still happening and he is still Ixis'.

Date: 2016-02-03 03:49 am (UTC)Plenty of implications there, but moving on, she has ideas. Strange ones, sometimes, and certainly unorthodox. Black walls in the galleries instead of white, or red, or blue, or any number of colors. Beautiful curving walls and garden courtyards and and and. There are pictures. There's an apology that she hasn't finished the presentation she was working on, but such is life: they're discussing it now, so get used to Pinterest, boys. But most importantly, there's finally a sign that she's excited about something.
And that can mean the world.
