To all the friends of the happy grooms, PINpoint messages have already been sent weeks ago inviting them to expect quite the street party arranged in the commons of the Nexus. Guests have been invited to bring an appetite--both for food and for a social adventure. Nirnish weddings are public affairs, after all. While the ceremony has had to be somewhat sequestered for the sake of keeping the existence of Other Worlds a secret, neither Felix nor Jim would want to leave out their interdimensional friends entirely. Having a reception party arranged in the Nexus became the natural plan of action.

Overnight large sections of the Commons are transformed via diligent craftsmanship and quite a lot of magic from those who’ve volunteered. Lanterns representing the Divines are hung along every lamp post, bringing at least the idea of warmth even if the flames are too small to heat their surroundings alone. Bardic tunes carry in the air as readily as the scent of food and drink. Past banners of red and black, blue and white the people gather.

For both grooms this is nearly a continuation of the day before. They’ve had the chance to sleep off the nerves of their ceremony. Today is entirely for celebration--uninhibited celebration at that. No more minding what is said and isn’t. No more pretending to be anything other than who they are. Jim’s traded out his Nirnish finery for a suit and tie, garments he’s much more familiar with. Felix is staying with his native clothing; though he may have dressed down a little from his wedding clothes, the conjurer’s dressed in fitted breeches and his best fur-trimmed coat and boots, the soft hide dyed blue to match his tunic. By their side sits the conjurer’s spectral wolf familiar, ears pricked at the gathering.

As the guests find their ways over it will be easy to spot their friends amidst all the decor along with many other avenues with which to enjoy themselves….

He's halfway to asking how his technique could have improved in the few minutes they've been here when he realizes Aziraphale is hearkening back to every time they've been feeding one another since they officially got together - and even that one time before they did. Satan, it's embarrassing to think how about how sloppy he was during the movie night, several bottles of wine in and with absolutely no finesse to be spoken of. Crowley's glad things have progressed enough that he can do this in public without dropping crumbs everywhere on his partner.

"We're good for each other." Which isn't what the angel meant, but it's what's on Crowley's mind right now. There's not much space for much else when Aziraphale is so close and showering him with little reminders of his affection. The demon takes another breath and presses his forehead to the angel's for some stability. "Promise we'll be good to each other when we get home?"

It's a question that has to be asked. Crowley knows the answer already (the perks of living together, thank Hell!), but putting it out there will definitely help set the stage when he drops all semblance of propriety the second they're back in their flat. They're going to get quite the workout once they're home and there's no chance of being bothered and Crowley is 110% okay with this.

"That we are," he agrees quietly, the lilt of teasing in his voice long gone, though no less joyful. He wraps his arms around Crowley and lets their breath co-mingle, foreheads pressed together, somehow more intimate than a kiss. Crowley could drop crumbs everywhere and he wouldn't care. What matters is that they can share these moments of affection with one another openly.

The question causes the angel to blush, a soft smile shining underneath that rosy glow. "My dear. I'd say that's more of an inevitability than a promise."

Any trepidation he might have once had about not enjoying the physical intimacies of a relationship disappeared that first night he and Crowley kissed for hours, tangled up on the couch in the back room of the bookshop. It turns out that he was only waiting for the right person to kiss to enjoy it, and that person happened to be his best friend of over six thousand years. What an amazing turn of events! He'd snort at his own past fears if he wasn't currently contemplating what he and the beautiful demon in his arms would be getting up to once they returned home.

He gives Crowley a kiss for good measure, lips sealed to his. "But we don't have any of these other treats at home," he mock laments. "Best enjoy them while we're here."
