Don't believe in no-win scenarios

Okay so Jim's still a prideful little lordling in some ways. He twitches a little at the 'novice' comment, even if it IS true. This is a man who will simply perish if he's not good at something he puts effort into.

But considering he has absolutely zero aptitude for utilizing magic, his academic interest in its theory will have to suffice.
