Don't believe in no-win scenarios

Sympathy, or at least empathy. Coming from Isidor, that means Jim's more than likely very right to be nervous about honoring those allegiances. Yet somehow...thinking back to the books waiting for him, Jim's become an ally to the Durants despite his position as a wholly ordinary man. And a tiny voice asks why? but is stifled almost immediately when Isidor shows excitement in her own way for what he's suggesting.
