Is he watching an angel being corrupted? In the process of..? It hurts Jim's head to even try to think about it too hard. He isn't much for ancient religions even in the frame of historical study and these two certainly seem content enough with whatever's going on here. They're certainly not Subtle about it. Best course of action is probably not to draw attention to it in case he's wrong, though.
