The question surprises her; why wouldn't she agree to meet with her friend on his nice, clean ship to give him information that might actually help, as opposed to floundering about uselessly with no goal in sight? "My work's been suspended until the Fleet plots a new course," she replies, wondering if he's concerned about the logistics. "I can spare the time."
She looks over at the voice. She's never met a Vulcan before, and would have assumed that he was human were it not for the pointed ears. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Spock." She smiles, charmed a little by his vocabulary. "I wish we were meeting under better circumstances. I have some news about Felix for Jim."
Turning her attention to the tray, she almost asks for the coffee out of habit, but what she needs right now is something to warm her spirit as well as her bones. "Tea, please. And thank you."
