"Heard enough to know that guy's a total asshole." Jim folds his arms over his chest and leans back in his seat slightly. Talking shit about his friends, even new friends, is not okay. Especially considering the one being talked about was the one who kept helping Jim out. Clint too, but it didn't sound like Clint was being badmouthed as much as Verity was.

Jim tries to catch Verity's eye all the same and mouths 'thanks' to her. He appreciate her trying to help.
