"There, uh, was fire that time, yeah," Clint admits. He's quick to move on to Verity's question, though. "Yeah, Skrulls, shapeshifters. The Kree infected 'em with something, form-locked 'em for years. Fixing that helped end the war. Then one day, we get crazy religious-zealot Skrulls coming down, shot-up on superhuman DNA to copy people's powers. That's gratitude."

And that probably answers Jim's question, too. It's not whether Clint is sane, it's that the universe is crazy.
