He's not going to find any of those in Iowa. Sure, there's a few odd hills here and there, one of which has sleds tucked neatly underneath a tree just in case they are wanted or needed later...but otherwise it's large open areas made quiet by the snow. Each of his steps crunches loudly, amplified by the lack of noise around them.
Smoke is billowing from the chimney of the farmhouse, and Jim Kirk opens the front door dressed sharply in a suit and tie.
"You're gonna freeze out there without a coat. Come on in." Confidence. Look confident, Jim. He doesn't need to know you watched him point in and ran to the mirror to make sure your hair was just so before you answered the door. He's turned the oven on too at his guest's arrival so he can get their romantic dinner underway. The house itself is a bit old by Jim's standards, though shockingly futuristic for Felix. Electric lighting that seems to be switch operated, modern furniture littering every room of the house.
The fire's going in the den and that's where Felix will be herded to once Jim helps him inside and holds his satchel while the other gets his boots off.

"Glad to see you made it in one piece."
