"It's my ship, I can accommodate intergalactic dignitaries as I see fit to." Jim scoffs at the idea that this might somehow be absolutely against Starfleet Regulations in any capacity. "And the last time I jumped out of anywhere it was to evacuate the ship. Not for fun." The tiniest huff before he regains his composure.

"I'll figure something out for the ship. Promise. In the meantime, the other two places are marginally safer to arrange." He gives a half shrug toward Viatorus though.

"It's more akin to what I think you'd call base jumping. Or..like a space walk, when an emergency calls for it." Not that he'd been tethered for that but why give Felix more ammunition to use against him? "For some reason my Starfleet career has included a lot of fairly precise drops like that. It's a good thing I happen to enjoy the sport."

For one thing, no one's trying to kill you aside from gravity when you do it for fun.
