Flight or momentum? Who cares? Thor will insist until the day he dies that it's flying, no matter what mechanism you use to get there. After all, don't birds fly the same way, using their momentum to generate lift? He's far too deep in his cups to articulate any of this, however, so he just makes a dismissive noise and waves his hand.

He laughs heartily at the questions. "As heavy as it needs to be," he answers with a broad grin. "For th' worthy it's a balanced hammer, if you're not, 's heavier than you can lift. Or something. Wasn't my spell. That's how it works."
