Parties in the Nexus always put Caspar a little on edge (or a lot on edge, if it's a god throwing it). Jim's comment goes a long way to easing up on his nerves. The whole reason that they brought Anastasia along was to give her the opportunity to visit at least one of her siblings.

The cinnamon-striped cat mews sweetly at Jim before giving Caspar an adoring, wide-eyed look. The Cylon sighs and waves a hand. "Okay, okay... go find your brother."

With no cat to babysit, Caspar wraps an arm around Adia, who has actually been paying attention. "Is it a long ceremony?" she asks curiously, stifling a giggle when Jim's drinks get jostled. "Earth is great. We're headed into another mild winter fully prepared. I think this is the year we're finally going to have a fully functioning pharmaceutical lab. It's only been vaccines and emergency medications so far."

"We're still a year out from coffee," Caspar, ever the ray of sunshine, adds casually.
