Jim isn't following what the raised arms mean right away. He's not going to try to pick her up, that would be weird and not at all beneficial to what they're about to do. When he does catch on a second later Jim's quick to stand aside. His expression's become a little bit uneasy though, his own hands raising up as placating as possible.

"The far side of the room, but--are you sure you want to waste magic on this?"

Jim remembers the conversation he had with the Archon last summer about how magic in her world is largely controlled by the bloodline of a mage but they've only ever been on Earth to test that theory out. Jim's seen both Felix and Stratos try to cast on his ship before--also from a line of powerful mages--and they've both struggled to get the magic to work properly and to recover from its use. BUt if he speaks up Isidor might get sick again.

Maybe it's just better to let her do as she pleases. And admittedly, a small part of him is curious if it works more easily for her.

"I mean, go ahead I guess. Just..I was gonna put everything against that back wall so it'd be out of the way."
